Pay attention to the person you admire. You will find that individuals you look up to tend to have a solid focus on taking care of themselves emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. As you learn from the best… you generally will aim to do/be your best. Be willing to go out of your comfort zone and ask for mentorship if growing as a leader is something you are looking for!

Create a to-do list. Daily keep an ongoing list of things that need to be done personally, professionally, and physically helps you to get better organized and prioritize the things taking place in your life. Be willing to delegate things that are less important to others – if this applies!

Make self-care important. Daily take care of yourself in a way that allows your “flame” to stay lit and avoid burnout. Self-care (whatever that may be for you) tends to minimize or reduce health concerns related to stress, anxiety, and depression.

The early bird gets the worm. Spending 15-30 minutes alone in the morning can help you start your day off focused and prepared for the day ahead. Maybe that is sitting in silence or journaling… find out what works best for you. Also consider going to bed earlier and waking up earlier to see what this time can do for you!

Read positive books. Starting your day off with devotionals, positive news, or self-help books allows you to focus on the positive parts of the day right away. Filling your mind with good stories, encouraging messages, and inspiring news can help keep your spirits high if a problem does arise.

Make today a great day!
