This week we are featuring another employee – Diana Elizondo! Diana is a Customer Ambassador here in the home office. She has been with the company for 13 years! Read through what she had to say about her current wellness journey in our question and answer session.

 

What is your motivation in your wellness journey?

At first, it was being able to serve in the upcoming mission trip. I wanted to be able to work and serve with no limitations. Now that the Costa Rica trip is over, my motivation has shifted to my health.

What is your weekly exercise routine?

I started by getting on the elliptical for 15 minutes, then moved to 20 minutes, and then moved up again to 30 minutes. I tried out the AMT machine and stair climber as well. Jerika invited me to do Transform 20 with her. Since I accomplished completing 30 minutes a day, I knew I could do the 20 minutes with Shaun T workouts. This week I have tried interval running with Jerika. It is challenging, but I feel so accomplished.

What has been the best part of this journey?

The new friendships made in the gym. Everyone here is so supportive and wants to see me succeed.

What do you find is a daily struggle?

The eating part is not bad as long as I make the time for meal prepping. I have to make myself a priority and that is tough for me.

What is your favorite part about exercise?

The accomplishments and getting stronger.

What is your favorite DWC class to attend? Why?

HIIT with Allie was amazing. We all were able to work with the level of fitness we are at in that moment. The workouts were broken down into smaller time frames. I get bored easily and cannot keep doing the same thing for long periods of time.

Where are you currently seeing success?

Endurance and being able to purchase new clothes!

What are you the most proud of?

Being able to say I have not given up.

If someone wanted to start their own journey – how would you encourage them?

It truly is a lifestyle change. Give yourself grace and most of all do not give up.
