Employee Spotlight – Kassidy Payne

This week we are featuring another employee – Kassidy Payne! Kassidy works in Sales Ops as a Client Success Manager and has been with the company for a little over 1.5 years! Read through what she had to say about her current wellness journey from a recent post she made on her own social media account.

We’re almost to the end of FITGO here at FDLIC and it got me thinking of how far I’ve come since I started working here.
When I came to FD in 2020, I was just starting to come out of a depression that left me struggling to eat. I had been living off of one meal a day for the majority of 2018-2019 and lost a lot of weight. After getting covid and ovarian cysts around the same time, I lost a little more. After some of the symptoms of being underweight started affecting me, I knew I needed to do something.
Thanks to some incredible gym partners and my hard work, I have been able to gain muscle and put weight back on in a healthy way! As of my last body scan, I have gained 11lbs, upped my muscle mass, and now co-teach a kickboxing class. Check out her class on Tuesdays/Thursdays during lunch!
While gaining back some weight was needed, I believe people are more than a number on a scale, so here’s a few non-sca
le victories:
I can lift 10lbs more in free weights!
No sunken in face!
More energy!
I eat (and enjoy!) breakfast now!
Feeling more comfortable with more complex workouts!
So, all that to say, I’m feeling the healthiest and strongest I have ever felt. I’m thankful to my FDLIC family who have been so encouraging. Especially Haley Cooke, who has not only helped in the gym and with my eating habits, but who has also been a great friend.

Kassidy came to me in the beginning of 2021 looking for health coaching! Through various discussions on fitness and nutrition, she has seen GREAT success. I am so proud of the hard work and dedication she has put into her health journey! My encouragement to anyone reading this would be that you may not have the same story as Kassidy… but you do have the same opportunity if you would like it! I am always here to help in any way that I can!

Kassidy is the best! So proud of her and glad to see her excel on this journey! We have enjoyed trying out workouts around town together like hot yoga and belly dancing!

Kassidy, Great success. I did not know your story until today, but I did notice a healthy change! FYI, after sparing with you in Kickboxing Class I am now afraid of “startling” you. You are stronger and faster responding than you realize.
